Priyanka Chopra Jonas has set up a fundraiser to help India amid the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. In an Instagram video she posted on Thursday, she talks how it is important for everyone to come forward and help the country.

"My heart breaks. India is suffering from COVID19 & the US has ordered 550M more vaccines than needed @POTUS @WHCOS @SecBlinken @JakeSullivan46 Thx for sharing AstraZeneca worldwide, but the situation in my country is critical. Will you urgently share vaccines w/ India? #vaxlive," she posted.

"The Covid-19 situation across India is grave. I'm seeing images and stories coming in from different parts of the country that are so scary. The situation is out of control and our medical fraternity is at a breaking point," wrote Priyanka, in a post she shared on Twitter and Instagram.

Priyanka posted a throwback picture from her teenage days. In the image, a 19-year-old Priyanka is dressed in a bikini top and low waist pants. She flaunts a tiny toned waist. "Shy? Never heard of her at all of 19 #TBT #BindisAndBikinis," she wrote.

She also talked about Priyanka's global fandom and her busy life: "With over 60 million followers on Instagram, biggest star in India, huge here in Hollywood and a really famous husband, how do people manage such lives?"

"Now, I am not sticking to safe. I'm not sticking to 'if this will work in this specific way'. I'm not a hamster on a wheel right now. I'm feeling creative. I'm feeling free. And feeling like I want to do so many things," she added.

"After a few minutes of small talk, the director/producer told me to stand up and twirl for him. I did. He stared at me long and hard, assessing me, and then suggested that I get a boob job, fix my jaw, and add a little more cushioning to my butt," she wrote in the book.

The actress most recently featured in "The White Tiger", a dark comedy about class divide and the murky realities of Indian society. Directed by Ramin Bahrani, the OTT-released film stars Adarsh Gourav and also has Rajkummar Rao, Mahesh Manjrekar and Vijay Maurya in pivotal roles.
