While BSE Sensex plunged 483 points to close at 65,512, Nifty declined 141 points to end at 19,512.

Nifty traded sideways amid subdued global cues and closed flat to negative at 19669 levels. Also mounting concerns over China’s real estate sector, and FIIs offloading in domestic equities dampened the sentiments, he said.

While Nifty 50 closed flat at 19,674.55, Sensex closed nearly 15 points, or 0.02 per cent, up at 66,023.69.

FPI selling which started early this month continued in the week ended September 22. This month, in the 15 trading days, so far, FIIs were sellers in eleven days.
