US slaps ban on oil, gas imports from Russia
The US on Tuesday banned all oil and gas imports from Russia, President Joe Biden said in a Twitter post. "Today, I'm announcing that the United States is targeting a main artery of Russia's economy. We are banning all imports of Russian oil and gas," he tweeted. The move to ban imports from Russia is seen as a support to war-torn Ukraine.

China asks US to disclose info on Pentagon's alleged biological labs in Ukraine
Chinas Foreign Ministry has called on the US to disclose information on Pentagons alleged biological laboratories in Ukraine "as soon as possible". On Monday, the Russian military said Ukrainian authorities had been destroying pathogens studied at its laboratories. Moscow claimed that 30 US-financed Ukrainian biolabs have been actively cooperating with the American military, RT reported.
Russia says Ukraine battalions holding more than 4.5 mn civilians as human shields
Ukrainian territorial defence battalions are holding more than 4.5 million civilians in Ukraine as human shields, said head of the National Defence Control Centre of Russia, Mikhail Mizintsev. "The militants of the territorial defence battalions continue to hold more than 4.5 million civilians hostage as a human shield," the Russian Defense Ministry said, RT said. It is noted that about 2,000 foreign citizens, who expressed a desire to evacuate to safe places, are also being held.
Russian military planes flew to Syria twice since Ukraine war
Russian Ministry of Defence plane has twice flown to Syria since the start of the invasion of Ukraine. On February 24, a Russian plane arrived in Syria, and on February 27, it flew back to Moscow, with a stopover in Armenia, as per online radar data monitored by Ukrayinska Pravda. On February 27, a plane left from Vladikavkaz for Syria, and on February 28, it returned, again via Armenia, to Astrakhan in Russia.

The plan was dismissed as 'immoral and unacceptable' by Ukraine and as 'nonsense' by Britain's Europe minister, James Cleverly, Daily Mail reported.
