Russian forces booby-trapping Kherson to turn it into 'city of death'

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head office of Ukraine's president, tweeted that Russia "wants to turn Kherson into a 'city of death'", The Guardian reported. He claimed that the Russian military "mines everything they can: apartments, sewers", and that "artillery on the left bank" of the Dnieper River "plans to turn the city into ruins".
North Korean missile fired last week similar to one used by Russia in Ukraine'

The Ministry announced the results of an inter-agency analysis of the debris of a missile that North Korea fired southward on November 2 past the Northern Limit Line (NLL) in the East Sea, reports Yonhap News Agency. The debris is around 3 metres long and 2 metres wide, assessed to be that of an "SA-5" surface-to-air missile, given its appearance and feature, it said.

In an interview with an Italian daily, Podolyak on Tuesday added that a potential ceasefire deal at the current stage of the conflict would provide Russia with time to strengthen its positions. "The ceasefire for Russia is a tactical pause for reinforcement," he said. While commenting on the reports that the representatives of the US Pentagon and the Russian Defence Ministry are involved in talks, Podolyak added that "there are no negotiations between Russia and Western countries regarding Ukraine".

Only China voted with Russia on Wednesday on the resolution calling for an inquiry into what Moscow alleged was a joint bio-warfare programme run by the US and Ukraine in violation of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC). All the 10 non-permanent members abstained and the only negative votes from the US, Britain and France did not amount to vetoes because the resolution automatically failed without getting the minimum of nine votes.

Russia has halted traffic along the security corridor in the Black Sea defined by the grain export deal known as the Black Sea Grain Initiative with Ukraine, the Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
