HP launches 1st AMD-powered Chromebook PC in India

Called 'HP Chromebook x360 14a', the touch-enabled convertible PC features a 14-inch screen size with narrow bezel. It also includes voice enabled Google Assistant, free Google One subscription for one year. The machine houses 4GB RAM, equipped with 64 eMMC SSD storage along with 100GB free cloud storage (for one year) and 256 GB expandable micro-SD. Weighing just 1,495 kg, this device is available in Mineral Silver, Ceramic White, and Forrest Teal colours.
ASUS ROG Strix G15: Not just a gaming laptop

Estimated to be valued at $1.02 billion in 2020, the Indian gaming market is expected to reach $4.88 billion by 2026, according to Mordor Intelligence. Acer set to unveil smart TVs in India in September

The company said it will soon be making its debut in the smart televisions segment under a license to Bengaluru-based Indkal Technologies. Acer televisions will be launched at retail through online platforms Amazon and Flipkart across a wide spectrum of sizes ranging from smaller 32-inches to larger sizes such as 70-inches and in a combination of resolutions.

Reliable sources told IANS on Wednesday that the new ENVY series, to be launched on August 10, is set to start from around Rs 1 lakh with superior graphics, strong panel and a security pack, making it the go-to device option for creators in India. "The new ENVY portfolio is expected to come with pro-grade performance features with enhanced thermal design and long battery life," according to the sources.

The Victus by HP E series laptops powered by AMD Ryzen Processor start at Rs 64,999 and would be available on Amazon India, while Victus by HP D series laptops powered by Intel 11th Processor starts at Rs 74,999. It will be available on Reliance digital stores in the coming weeks. "For youngsters in India, gaming is increasingly becoming a passion point like music or any other sport," Bedi added.

"The realme laptop with two versions will come with a revolutionary display in the competitive price segment," they added. The laptop, likely to be called 'realme Book,' was teased during the launch of realme GT 5G smartphone in Europe last month.
Japan-based Fujitsu unveils 2 laptops in India

Both the laptops are powered by the latest 11th Gen Intel Core processors and will be available on Amazon from July 26. "Consumers are now increasing their demands for machines that are ultra-portable and can be used in more than one way, at anytime and anywhere," Takeshi Okuma, CEO, Fujitsu Client Computing Limited (FCCL), said in a statement.
Global PC market slows down in Q2 over chip shortage: Report

While PC demand remained above the pre-pandemic levels, this was a marked deceleration in growth compared to the record (year over year) growth of 35.7 per cent in the first quarter of 2021, due in part to the impact of ongoing component shortages, according to preliminary results by market research firm Gartner. Lenovo recorded its fifth straight quarter of year over year growth.
