ASUS unveils 2-in-1 Vivobook laptop in India

In a bid to empower users, ASUS India on Thursday launched a new 13.3-inch OLED Windows detachable laptop, Vivobook 13 Slate OLED, in the country. With a starting price of Rs 45,990, the newly launched product, which features the new ASUS Pen 2.0 Stylus, a magnetically detachable full-size keyboard and a detachable hinge, will is available across online and offline stores.
Nokia PureBook Pro laptop with FHD display launched

OFF Global is a fast-rising French startup and it has just announced a licensing agreement with Nokia for the design and sale of Nokia-branded laptops, reports GizmoChina. The Nokia PureBook Pro comes in two screen sizes: 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch. Both the variants have LED panels and support a Full HD. The laptop is powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel Core i3-1220P processor, coupled with Intel UHD Graphics. This is the same 12th-Gen Intel processor and supports 28W power.
Acer launches its 2nd 'Make in India' laptop

The company said that the price point it is aiming to bring is below Rs 30,000 and Acer believes this is a unique offering at a price point which "we don't see any other competing models which are made in India". The laptop is manufactured at the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Noida. This is the second laptop to come out of the manufacturing line after the acclaimed TravelMate series laptops.
ASUS ProArt StudioBook 16 OLED a perfect match for Indian creators

The ‘ProArt StudioBook 16 OLED' comes equipped with ASUS ‘Dial' for quick, intuitive adjustments while working with Adobe apps, such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Photoshop Lightroom Classic and After Effects. It also features a touchpad with three function buttons that supports the stylus.

PC shipments in China grew 3% to reach over 15 mn units in Q3

Compared to last year, desktop (including desktop workstation) shipments grew 3.8 per cent to 5.3 million units. Notebook (including mobile workstation) shipments were also slightly up by 1.9 per cent at 9.7 million units, according to market research firm Canalys. The growth resulted in a record third-quarter shipment in China, beating a year-old record of 14.7 million unit shipments in Q3 2020.
Microsoft Windows 11 SE, Surface Laptop SE announced

The new Windows 11 edition is a simplified version of Microsoft's newest OS release, customized for the education market. Microsoft says Windows 11 SE has been optimized for education focused low-cost PCs. ​​​​​​​Unlike normal Windows 11, Windows 11 SE comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office out of the box, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, and OneDrive, which can also be used offline as part of a Microsoft 365 license.
Shipping time for new MacBook Pro slips to late Nov

According to 9To5Mac, the delays are primarily affecting custom configurations of the new MacBook Pro models. The 16-inch MacBook Pro is even more affected by delays. Apple says that the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will be available in Apple stores and from Apple authorized resellers starting on Tuesday. However, only default configuration options will be available from stores.
If we don't solve future problems, we would be gone: Dell CEO

Speaking at the virtual 'Dell Technologies Summit' late on Wednesday, Dell said that we have to be bold in our reinvention and our investments for the future. "A business like ours really exists to solve those future problems. If we're successful in doing that, we'll be around for the next 37 years and beyond. If we don't do that, we'll be gone. That's just the way it works. It's not any more complicated than that," he said during his keynote address. Under his leadership, Dell is now building new-age solutions for the era of 5G, edge computing and telecom.
Global PC shipments grew 5% in Q3: Report

Despite the reduction in growth, volumes remain at a remarkably high level, given how strong the industry performed in Q3 2020. As a result, the PC market has undergone a two-year CAGR of 9 per cent from Q3 2019. Despite high demand, PC business suffered a series of blows, making it extremely hard to facilitate supply.
