UP man returns from Kabul with haunting memories
As Rajesh Pandey, a worker at an iron grill factory back in Kabul sits with his family in Jaunpur Mudiyari village he remembers how he left behind many of his belongings in Kabul and recalls: "There was a state of anarchy when the Taliban took over. We had to struggle for over 10 hours to cover a distance of 8 km to reach the airport. It was scary with bombings and firings all around."

IAF plane with 35 evacuees from Kabul lands at Hindon
All the evacuees will be taken by ITBP buses from the airport to a quarantine centre at Chhawala. India has continued the air rescue operation, named as Ops Devi Shakti, from Kabul, as well as from other countries like Qatar and Tajikistan. Indian officials are making all round efforts to evacuate not only Indians but Afghan nationals too. The 35 evacuees comprised 24 Indian and 11 Nepali nationals.
IAF aircraft with 35 evacuees on way to Delhi from Kabul
The flight will land at the Hindon airport here. "Op Devi Shakti in action! @IAF_MCC flight with 24 Indian and 11 Nepalese evacuees from Kabul is on its way to Delhi," MEA spokesperson, Arindam Baghchi said on social media. The rescue efforts from war torn Afghanistan have been named as Ops Devi Shakti by the government, which was announced by the External Affairs Minister, Dr S. Jaishanakar on August 24.
Sense of fear prevails across Kabul, says returnee from Kabul

ITBP personnel at Kabul embassy brought back to India too
Amidst the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, the Indian government decided to recall all embassy personnel from Kabul and they were evacuated by an Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft on Tuesday. The IAF aircraft brought back 120 Indian officials, including the last batch of the Indian embassy staff and ITBP personnel, from the Kabul airport.

Air India flight with 129 passengers from Kabul lands in Delhi
The AI 244 had taken off at 6.06 p.m. on Sunday from the Kabul airport, even as the Taliban reached the Afghan capital and were on the verge of taking power. "We are monitoring the situation and as of now continuing with our scheduled flights to Kabul," an Air India spokesperson told IANS. Besides, the official said that the next flight for Kabul is scheduled to take off at 8.50 a.m. on Monday.
