Biden took to Twitter to thank the American voters, "America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country. The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not.

Biden, 78, who served two terms as Vice President to Barack Obama, will become the oldest person to assume the Office of US president when he is sworn in on 20 January. Harris will become the first woman, the first Black woman and the first person of Asian descent to be Vice President of United States.
