Diego Mauricio pulled one back from the spot in the opening stages of the second half, but the home side managed to close Odisha FC's pursuit for the major part of the game before Pablo Perez came on to score his first goal for the Blues in stoppage time to wrap up all three points. This was the first time this season that Bengaluru FC scored more than two goals in a game.

Suhair's mazy run forced Naorem Mahesh Singh into a mistimed sliding tackle, and the ball rolled onto his arms. The referee pointed to the spot.

Both sides made a solitary change to their respective sides. Mohammad Yasir returned to the starting XI for the hosts and Rohit Danu dropped to the bench. Sehnaj Singh came in to replace the suspended Jon Gaztanaga in the NorthEast United FC midfield.
