FIH Pro League: India, Germany to play postponed games on April 14 and 15
The last time the two teams met was during the bronze-medal match at the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 where India beat Germany 5-4 in a thrilling encounter to win the historic Olympic medal for the first time in 41 years. Welcoming the German men's hockey team's decision to travel to India for the matches, Hockey India president Gyanendro Ningombam said, "As hosts, we are happy to welcome the German National Men's Team to participate in the FIH Pro League matches here in Bhubaneswar, Odisha in April.

Hockey Pro League: India to open campaign against New Zealand in new format for 2022-23
India will host the first set of matches with the men's team starting its campaign against New Zealand on October 28 and Spain on October 30. They will play their return leg matches against New Zealand and Spain on October 4 and 6, respectively. Both the visitors New Zealand and Spain will also play a double-header against each other on October 29 and November 5.
Domestic hockey season set to begin in Delhi tomorrow
The senior women's tournament will be held at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium. The teams will play five matches each in the pool stage and the top two teams will play the final on March 30. The finalists of the previous edition, Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) and Sports Authority of India (SAI) will play the opening match of the tournament on Wednesday.

"The central ice hockey team of the ITBP representing All India Police Sports Control Board (AIPSB) won the 11th edition of the Ice Hockey Association of India (IHAI) National Ice Hockey Championship for men - 2022 organised in Kaza, Himachal Pradesh," the ITBP said in a statement.
Hockey Pro League: India score late equaliser but lose shoot-out to Argentina
After an even contest in the first half in which Argentina enjoyed more ball possession but India created more and better chances, the match exploded into action in the third quarter when India scored through Gurjant Singh in the 38th minute. Argentina responded soon and not only levelled the score through Nicolas Acosta in the 45th minute. The South Americans, who are in the sixth position in the league table from three wins in four matches.

Junior hockey World Cup player Moirangthem Rabichandra Singh will likely make his senior India debut as he has been named in the 22-member squad, which will take on Argentina in the FIH Men's Pro League double-header this weekend at the Kalinga Stadium here.
