FIH Pro League: Indian women's hockey team lose 0-5 to Belgium in their second match
Barbara Nelen (2'), Charlotte Englebert (4'), Abi Raye (19'), Stephanie Vanden Borre (23') and Ambre Ballenghein (36') scored a goal each for the hosts Belgiun. The match started in almost a similar fashion as yesterday, with Belgium's Barbara Nelen giving the hosts an early lead in the second minute. India were caught off guard in the counterattack, leaving the right flank completely open for Barbara, who comfortably found the back of the net from the far post.

Earlier during the regulation time, Indian Men's Hockey team held their nerves, making a brilliant comeback in the final quarter to overcome a 1-3 deficit only to hold Belgium 3-3 and take the encounter to a thrilling shootout. Both teams lived up to the billing as their built on their rivalry from hooter-to-hooter in a packed stadium.

Currently placed second on the pool table with 27 points in 12 matches, the Indian team is coming off a successful home leg. After starting their home leg with a 5-4 win and a 3-5 loss against Spain, the Indian team went on to secure match points against every team they played against -- Argentina (2-2 (1-3 SO) and 4-3), England (3-3 (3-2 SO) and 4-3) and Germany (3-0 and 3-1).

Bobby Singh Dhami (11', 19') and Mohammed Raheel (13', 17'), who finished as the top goalscorer at FIH Hockey 5s, netted twice, while Sanjay (8') and captain Gurinder Singh (9') also contributed to the team's victory. The goalscorers for Poland were Mateusz Nowakowski (1'), Robert Pawlak (5'), Wojciech Rutkowski (5') and Captain Jacek Kurowski (18').
Women's Hockey 5s: India women miss out on final after draw against South Africa
Despite the win over the hosts, India missed out on a spot in the final with the draw against South Africa, and finished in the 4th position in the table with 4 points. In their third match in the competition, Mumtaz Khan (10', 14', 17') scored a hat-trick while Rutaja Pisal (3') also scored a goal to help India pick up the win against the hosts Switzerland. For Switzerland, Sarah Zepf (2'), Dunja Hartsch (4'), and Sofie Stomps (11') scored the goals.

The Indian men's team led by Gurinder Singh edged out the hosts Switzerland 4-3 to open their campaign in FIH Hockey 5s. Mohammed Raheel (2', 10'), Rabichandra Moirangthem (5') and captain Gurinder Singh (19') scored in India's thrilling win, while Jonas Winkler (6'), Fabio Reinhard (11'), and Patrick Kruesi (16') were the goalscorers for Switzerland.

With Korea and Malaysia leading on goal difference in the Super 4s Pool Table, India needed to win the match to reach the Final. The contest went right down to the wire with India giving a tough fight till the final whistle. Match started with an attacking move from India as Dipsan Tirkey came from the left flanks to pass the ball to Pawan Rajbhar inside the circle. But the Korean defence was quick to avert the danger.
