Jhulan Goswami becomes joint leading wicket-taker in Women's Cricket World Cup history

Veteran India pacer Jhulan Goswami on Thursday became the joint leading wicket-taker in the history of ICC Women's World Cups. Jhulan, through her figures of 1/41 against New Zealand at Seddon Park, equalled the tally of 39 wickets taken by Lyn Fullston of Australia from 1982 to 1988. India will be hoping that Jhulan's contribution will not go in vain as they try to chase 261 and bag two crucial points in the World Cup.

Ace India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin revealed that former captain and all-rounder Kapil Dev had sent a small hand-written note and bouquet for surpassing his tally of 434 Test wickets. On Sunday, Ashwin went past Kapil Dev's 434 wickets to become the second highest wicket-taker for India in Test cricket. While Kapil Dev managed the feat in 131 Tests, Ashwin reached the mark in his 85th Test.

 India cricketer Ajinkya Rahane took a trip down memory lane when he visited his alma mater SV Joshi High School in Dombivli, Mumbai reminiscing memories spent at the school. The 33-year-old batsman, who led the Indian team to the historic Test series triumph in Australia last year, took to social media on Wednesday and posted a video of his visit to the school. "There's something about visiting your roots that keeps you grounded. Was at Dombivli with my family and irrespective of how the place changes, it holds the same place in my heart!" he captioned it.
