Israel take historic win in ice hockey Women's World Championship Division 3

It was the first-ever World Championship win for Israel's women's team, who joined the international arena last year, reports Xinhua. Israel thus completed their games in the three-team group with a 1-3 win-loss record, while Bosnia are currently 1-2 in the tournament.

At the end of the double round-robin tournament, which is played in the Israeli village of Tenuvut, one team will qualify for Group A. Saves by both goalkeepers, Israel's Yael Fatiev and Hana Sadovic of Bosnia, kept the first period scoreless.
Indian junior women's hockey team beats South Africa 4-3 in shootout

A match, much closer than the previous encounters between both teams, ended in a draw after either team failed to score in regulation time. This resulted in a shootout that ended 4-3 in the favour of the Indian junior women's hockey team. Having won all their matches against the U-21 team they now focus on playing the A team, twice in quick succession.

This is the fourth medal for the Netherlands in the men's World Cup as they had finished runners-up in the last two editions in 2014 and 2018 and were third in the 2010 World Cup played in New Delhi.
