The academic session will be starting from 1st of August while the semester examination will be held between 1st of December and 15th of December and during the time of winter vacation between December 15 and January 12, 2024, the university will remain close for the students.

Two Australian universities have already decided to set up their campuses at the GIFT CITY in Gujarat. Now campuses of Australian universities might come up outside Gujarat as well. These proposals were discussed during a meeting between the Australian Education Minister and UGC officials here on Thursday. Jason Clare, Minister of Education, Australia, and Barry O'Farrell, Australian High Commissioner to India, visited the UGC office on Thursday.

Indian nationals received the highest number of student visas which went up by 73 per cent from 2021. India was also issued 30 per cent of visit visas, which is the largest share compared to any other country, Ellis said, adding that the work visas increased by 130 per cent in the year 2022.

As per the data available in the SCOPUS database, the faculty members of Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) have published 123 research articles in SCOPUS-indexed journals in the year 2022. Additional Solicitor General Aishwarya Bhati, appearing for the National Board of Examinations (NBE), submitted before a bench headed by Justice S.R. UVA Provost Ian Baucom and JGU Vice Chancellor Raj Kumar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) committing to the partnership during Kumar's visit to Charlottesville with five of JGU Deans and other senior staff. The document will serve as a foundation for more agreements between UVA and JGU schools and institutes to support student exchanges, joint research and symposia, and other collaborative activities.

The course includes a wide range of topics, including property management, real estate finance, urban planning etc. The curriculum of this 3-month course has been prepared by the real estate experts. Bhaswar Paul, a real estate professional who has been instrumental in curating the course, comes on board as professor of practice

One hundred labs for developing apps using 5G services will be set up in HEIs, to realize a new range of opportunities, business models and employment potential. The labs will cover among others, apps like Smart Classrooms, Precision Farming, Intelligent Transport Systems and Healthcare.

Presenting the Union Budget for FY24, the minister said that the aim is to fully realise the mission of 'Make AI in India'. "For realising the vision of 'Make AI in India' and 'Make AI Work for India', three Centres of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence will be set up in top educational institutions," she informed.

Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan are the top six states in terms of number of students enrolled. Enrollment has increased in 2020-21 compared to 2014-15 in the specialised universities relating to defence, sanskrit, biotechnology, forensics, design, sports etc.
