Beginning next month, desktop and laptop users will see a new, richer user interface with an array of easy-to-access features that make meetings more productive and inclusive.

The new wallpapers are accessible by long-pressing anywhere on the Pixel Launcher and selecting "Styles & wallpapers". Housed in "Curated Culture", these three new Earth Day Pixel wallpapers were drawn by Jeremyville. The style anthropomorphizes fish, land creatures and even trees, showing them having a fun celebration, reports 9To5Google

Based on these same guidelines, more than 20 industry stakeholders, including Google, Amazon and mobile app security tester NowSecure, worked together to build a specific standard for mobile apps, reports Android Police.

According to XDA Developers, the spotted code suggests Google may surface Android's hidden Recycle Bin/Trash feature in Storage settings. Last year, Google rolled out Android 11 which enforced major changes to the way that apps can access a device's storage, the report said.

Android users have long been able to use the Google Assistant to trigger a sound for their smartphone if it got lost. According to MacRumors, that same ability, much like Apple's own Find My system, is coming to the iPhone. The feature will let users who have a Google Assistant-enabled smart speaker and the accompanying Google Home app for iOS find a misplaced device, the report said.

"The tech giant has launched an early user feedback programme aimed at exploring how patients might want to see, organise, and share their own medical record data," the report mentioned. Google is currently recruiting about 300 patients for its health records study in the US.

Besides being its own app, Google Lens is also available in Image Search, Photos and integrated across Android.Opening an image with words reveals a "Copy text from image" suggestion chip that features the (old) Lens logo and dismiss button. It appears to the left of Share, Edit, Info and other controls for Google Photos, reports 9To5Google.

The mobile shopping app will, however, be available on the desktop (web) version. It means that shopping.google.com website will remain active.The company confirmed the decision to 9to5Google on Sunday.

The name of the secret programme got revealed in an improperly unredacted document Google had filed as part of an anti-trust lawsuit in Texas.The report on Saturday said that Google's programme was not disclosed to publishers who sold ads through the company's ad-buying systems.

According to two sources familiar with the matter, Android Central came to believe that the Google Pixel 5a 5G was cancelled in its entirety. Pixel 5a 5G is not cancelled.
