During the Executive Committee meeting of AIFF held here on, the members were informed about the development. The newly-elected president of AIFF, Kalyan Chaubey opened the proceedings by informing the Executive Committee about the development and talks with the Government of India and the Qatar Football Association.

This was their first courtesy visit to the FIFA office and thus called on the FIFA President. The decision was taken after FIFA received confirmation that the mandate of the Committee of Administrators that was set up to assume the powers of the AIFF Executive Committee had been terminated and that the AIFF administration had regained full control of the AIFF's daily affairs, the FIFA said in a release on Friday. "FIFA and the AFC will continue to monitor the situation and will support the AIFF in organising its elections in a timely manner," the release further said.

Sources in the know of things said India have already complied with FIFA's constitution and removed "third-party interference" that would be vital for the world body to lift the ban. "After the Supreme Court dissolved the Committee of Administrators (CoA) and handed the daily administration to the erstwhile officials of AIFF, FIFA could lift the ban on Indian football in coming days," sources said.
