From the trailer it is apparent the film is about a Aziz Ali (Farhan Akhtar), a goon from Dongri who finds success as a boxer, only to lose it all after a mistake. The film creates drama as Aziz tries to make a comeback against all odds. Mrunal Thakur playing Farhan's love interest and Paresh Rawal as Aziz's coach.
Farhan Akhtar-starrer 'Toofaan' to release digitally on July 16

Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film also features Paresh Rawal, Mrunal Thakur, Supriya Pathak Kapur, Hussain Dalal, Dr. Mohan Agashe, Darshan Kumaar and Vijay Raaz. The film marks the second collaboration between Farhan and Mehra. The two had earlier worked together in the 2013 release "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag". "Toofaan" will release on Amazon Prime Video.
