HAL signs contract for export of ALH to Mauritius

Mauritius already operates HAL built ALH and Do-228 aircraft. With this contract, HAL and the government of Mauritius have further strengthened the long-standing business relations spanning over three decades.
TVS Motor moped domestic sales down, exports up

According to SIAM, the two and three wheeler maker TVS Motor last month had sold 33,395 mopeds, down from 59,923 units sold in December 2020. For the period April-December 2021, TVS Motor had sold 363,868 mopeds in India, down from 462,107 units sold during the same period the previous year.
India's December merchandise exports up over 38% YoY

Exports during December 2020 stood at $27.22 billion. The data by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry showed that in comparison to December 2019, last month's exports rose by 39.47 per cent. "Non-petroleum and non-gems and jewellery exports in December 2021 were $28.92 billion, registering a positive growth of 29.67 per cent over non-petroleum and non-gems and jewellery exports of $22.30 billion in December 2020," the ministry said.
India engineering goods exports to China doubles in Nov: EEPC India

In November 2020, exports of such goods were worth $205.3 million, the council said. The US, however, remained the top buyer of Indian engineering goods at $1,196 million during the month, registering a growth of 36 per cent.
Indian auto component industry grows to Rs 1.96 lakh cr in H1

Exports of auto components grew by 76 per cent to Rs 68,746 crore in the first half of 2021-22 from Rs 39,003 crore in the first half of 2020-21. Europe accounting for 31 per cent of exports, saw an increase of 81 per cent, while North America and Asia, accounting for 32 per cent and 25 per cent respectively also registered increase of 81 and 73 per cent respectively.
Mega gems, jewellery CFC to come up at SEEPZ Mumbai

Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal laid the foundation stone for a CFC at the Santacruz Electronic Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ) Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Mumbai. The Indian gems and jewellery industry has the largest skilled workforce of 4.5 million as on date.
India's Nov merchandise exports up over 27% YoY

Exports during November 2020 stood at $23.62 billion. The data by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry showed that in comparison to November 2019, last month's exports rose by 16.55 per cent. "Non-petroleum and non-gems and jewellery exports in November 2021 were $23.68 billion, registering a positive growth of 22.26 per cent over non-petroleum and non-gems and jewellery exports of $19.37 billion in November 2020," it said.
Strong demand to improve textile sector's YoY sales volumes in FY22

According to the agency, domestic as well as export demand will sustain during the rest of FY22. Besides, it has maintained the rating outlook of the sector at 'Stable' for the reminder of FY22, expecting a sustained improvement in the sector players' profitability and the continued deleveraging of their balance sheets.
India should aim to achieve over $10 bn leather exports by 2025: Piyush Goyal

Goyal made these remarks while addressing an event of the Council for Leather Exports (CLE). He said that he feels "very satisfied" that the leather industry is aiming to grow at least $10 billion by 2025, though it provides only a growth rate of about 15-17 per cent. The minister also said that the industry has the potential to aim for even higher targets.
Indian merchandise exports up by 43%; Imports rise 62% in October 2021 on YoY basis

Exports during October 2020 stood at $24.92 billion. October 2021 exports were higher by 35.89 per cent in comparison to the exports made in October 2019, as per the official data.  The non-petroleum, non-gems and jewellery exports in October 2021 stood at $26.09 billion, while in October 2020 it stood at $20.43 billion which signifies a positive growth of 27.75 per cent, the ministry said
