CUET UG 2022: Retest for cancelled August 4-6 exam to be held on between Aug 24 to 26

Phase 6 exams are scheduled to be held on 24, 25 and 26 August 2022. "However, of this lot of students, some had some individual grievances and wanted some special date concession. Their exam will be held on August 30,” The Indian Express quoted a senior NTA official as saying. Meanwhile, many students are now confused about their revised exam dates. They are alleging on social media that their exam dates have not been revised in the admit cards available on the NTA portal. One aspirant tweeted, "Admit card still showing old dates for the cancelled exam no response from nta on any platform."
Fifth phase of CUET exam underway

Around 10.03 lakh candidates have appeared in the CUET exam till the fourth phase. University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman M. Jagadesh Kumar said the fifth phase of exams would be conducted in 235 towns/cities across 349 centres.
25% additional seats, no entrance tests for overseas univ students

Foreign students will not have to give entrance tests, but a fixed admission process is being formulated which will be completely transparent. Along with this, keeping in mind the interests of foreign students, higher education institutions will have to set up an 'office of international affairs'.

To download the JEE Advanced 2022 admit card, candidates need to use their login credentials . JEE Advanced 2022 exam is scheduled to take place  on August 28; paper one will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, while paper two from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. A total of 1.6 lakh students have applied for JEE Advanced 2022, which includes 50 foreign nationals. Candidates are advised to keep a tab on the official website - jeeadv.ac.in, for further information.
CUET result for UG admissions likely in early Sep

The exams are being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The examinations, that are being held in six phases due to several instances technical glitches leading to postponement and cancellation, started on July 15 and will end on August 30 The result of CUET-UG will be released on the website of NTA. Along with this, the results will be sent to various concerned Central and other universities.

In a statement, the NTA said: "Those candidates who could not take the examination in Phase 2 conducted on 04, 05, and 06 August 2022 either due to technical reasons or due to cancellation of the Centre, will be allowed to appear in Phase 6 which will be held from 24 to 30 August 2022." CUET exams postponed at many centres in 17 states

Sadhana Parashar, Senior Director (Exams) of National Testing Agency (NTA), said: "Due to technical reasons, the question paper for the second shift of the examination could only be uploaded at 5 p.m. and the download at 489 centres could start at 5.25 p.m., while the exam was scheduled to begin from 3 p.m." Reports were sought from the observers and city co-ordinators on ground. Based on their recommendations, the second shift scheduled for Thursday (from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.) was cancelled and it will now be conducted between August 12 to 14, Parashar said.
CUET UG phase two exams today; candidates to get five marks for dropped questions

In the entrance test, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), questions will only be based on the Class 12 syllabus, and in case any question is found wrong or if any question is withdrawn, five marks will be given to the candidates in lieu of that question. On the basis of CUET results, all the Central universities will release their own cut-off and there will be no weightage of Class 12 marks in this cut-off. As many as 90 universities across the country, including 44 Central varsities, will accommodate students through the CUET.

Let's discuss a bit in details on how and why this exam is considered crucial to get admission in colleges. Like earlier, this time also, the merit list will be prepared by different universities and their respective colleges. However, the only difference this time is that the merit list will be made on the basis of marks obtained in CUET exam, and not on the basis of Class 12 exam marks.

This year it has been made mandatory to clear the CUET exam for seeking admission in colleges affiliated to central universities. All central universities such as Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Banaras Hindu University have been included in this programme.
