Apple, Microsoft's electronic gadgets may stop heart devices: Researchers

Electronic gadgets like Apple AirPods Pro charging case, Pencil 2nd Generation, and the Microsoft Surface Pen can interfere with life-saving heart devices and stop them from working, researchers have warned. Researchers from the University of Basel in Switzerland claimed that AirPods, 'pencils' and iPhones have powerful magnetic fields that could potentially stop implanted cardiac devices (ICD) working, Daily Mail reported.
Samsung's next tablet lineup may offer a 14.6-inch 'Ultra' model with a notch

India now has 14% share of world's smart personal audio market

Overall, the global smart personal audio market declined by 1.2 per cent to reach 118.8 million units. India's local leader, boAt, broke into the top five for the first time, shipping 2.8 million units.
Samsung invests record $13.4 bn in R&D through Q3

Acer set to unveil smart TVs in India in September

Apple Watch now has over 100 mn users globally

"Apple's ecosystem is seeing a greater attach rate as the brand continues to bake in attractive designs, health features and related services around it," said senior analyst Sujeong Lim from Counterpoint Research. The US continued to be the key Apple Watch market, contributing to more than half of its user base, with an attach rate of close to 30 per cent.
