Netflix rolls out Spatial Audio support on iPhone, iPad
According to 9To5Mac, this enables an immersive experience using directional audio filters, and it has been a long time coming to Netflix users. A Netflix spokesperson has confirmed to the tech website that the company has started rolling out Spatial Audio support on iPhone and iPad on iOS 14. The toggle for managing Spatial Audio is located in the Control Centre.
43.7% iPhone users intend to upgrade to iPhone 13: Report
According to a new survey by SellCell, 43.7 per cent of iPhone users said they plan to switch to iPhone 13, up 2.7 per cent compared to iPhone 12 purchase intent from a survey last year. Whereas 56.3 per cent revealed they are not interested in the upcoming iPhone range.
Google Maps' 'Dark Mode' coming soon for iPhone users
The most notable new feature is Dark Mode, which Google Maps app users have long been wanting. Dark Mode is an alternative to light mode and allows for a darker user interface to match other dark mode apps on iOS devices. According to Google, Dark Mode is going to be rolling out "in the coming weeks." It can be enabled in the Settings section of Google Maps.
Google Maps gains Home Screen widgets on iPhone
There are two separate widget options. The first allows users to check traffic conditions, store opening times, restaurant reviews and more for a given location, reports MacRumors. The second one is designed to let users find places that are nearby like restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores. The widget can be used to get quick access to home directions as well.

Apple said during its earnings call on Tuesday that the iPhone revenue set a June quarter record of $39.6 billion. "The big difference here is the mix of iPhones selling. Apple launched the low-cost iPhone SE in April 2020, which accounted for 28 per cent of its mix at that time. This year, with no new iPhone SE, its average selling price increased drastically," said Le Xuan Chiew, Canalys Research Analyst.
LG to finally sell iPhones at S Korean stores: Report
The company is expected to start selling iPhones at some of its stores in August. It is also expected to sell other products made by Apple, such as the Apple Watch, among other gadgets. "LG was initially met with resistance from local phone distributors over the plan, which considered it to be a violation of an agreement that prevented anti-competitive behaviour from LG and Samsung," the report said.

According to the report, the Cupertino-based giant is expecting to see high demands for its 2021 iPhone series and, therefore, has asked suppliers to raise production by 20 per cent compared to the previous generation iPhone 12. The suppliers include the world's largest contract chipmaker TSMC, who will be supplying the iPhone maker with a whopping 100 million units of its custom chipset.
