Apart from Karthik, Shreyas Iyer (40 off 35), Ishan Kishan (34 off 21) were the main scorers as most of the Indian batters failed to deliver against Proteas bowlers and lost wickets at regular intervals. Put into bat first, India had a bad start as opener Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed by Kagiso Rabada in the very first over of the innings.

After winning their third toss in a row, Australia opted to bat first and included Josh Inglis in place of Mitchell Marsh, who was out with a minor calf strain. Women's T20 Challenge: Velocity qualify for final despite 16-run loss against Trailblazers

Chasing a target of 191 runs for victory, but Velocity were restricted to 174 for nine in 20 overs. Velocity will now face Supernovas in the final on Saturday. Trailblazers (-0.825), Supernovas (+0.912) and Velocity (-0.022) ended with two points each but the top two teams made it to the final as they had better net run-rate than the defending champions.
Women's T20: Shafali, Wolvaardt lead Velocity to 7-wicket win over Supernovas

Chasing a target of 151 runs, Shafali played a solid start at the top while Wolvaardt finished off the chase with ease. Put into bat first, Supernovas were off to a horrible start as they slipped to 18 for 3 in the opening four overs. Priya Punia fell to Kate Cross, who also accounted for Harleen Deol while Deandra Dottin too failed to get going and was the third to fall on the bowling off Deepti Sharma as Supernovas were left on shaky ground.
