Livingstone's century in vain as Pakistan win opening T20I

Livingstone smashed nine sixes and six fours in a 43-ball 103 but Pakistan bowlers held their nerve to eke out a hard-fought victory on Friday night. Shadab Khan turned the tables in Pakistan's favour, dismissing Lewis Gregory (10) and Livingstone in the 17th over to leave the hosts struggling on 183/7, 50 runs behind their 233-run target.

"Pant, who had not stayed in the team hotel during the break period, tested positive on July 8. He is asymptomatic and currently undergoing self-isolation at the place where he reported positive. He is being closely monitored by the BCCI medical team and is on his way to recovery. He will be able to join the squad in Durham (for the team camp) after returning two negative RT-PCR tests," said a statement from the BCCI.

3rd ODI: England beat Pak for 3-0 sweep

James Vince scored a hundred and Lewis Gregory contributed 77 as England defeated Pakistan by three wickets to complete a clean sweep of the three-match ODI series. Vince raced to 102 off 95 deliveries and Gregory struck his 77 of 69 balls as hosts England, chasing Pakistan's challenging score of 331 for seven wickets, reached 332 for seven with two overs to spare.

Former India batsman Yashpal Sharma, a member of the 1983 World Cup-winning side, passed away on Tuesday at his home in Noida. He was 66. Chris Gayle slammed a 38-ball 67 as West Indies won the third T20 International against Australia by six wickets to secured their first series win in a multi-match bilateral series in any format against the visitors since March 1995 here on Tuesday.
