Bombay HC: No evidence of conspiracy, common intent against Aryan Khan

Delivering the detailed 14-page order, Justice Nitin Sambre said that considering the material brought on record by the NCB, the court has not found that prima facie, there was no positive evidence against the accused trio. It may be recalled that Khan, Dhamecha and Merchant were granted conditional bail by the high court on October 28 vide a speaking order and the detailed order was made available only today.

A bench headed by Justice U.U. Lalit said the purpose of the law cannot allow the offender to sneak out the meshes of the law. The top court said the act of touching any sexual part of a child with sexual intent cannot be taken away from the purview of section 7 of the POCSO Act.
Bombay HC grants bail to Aryan Khan on Rs 1 lakh bond, conditions

Justice N. W. Sambre, who granted bail to Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha on Thursday, has asked them to furnish one or more surety and not leave Mumbai or India without the permission of the Narcotics Control Bureau investigating officer. They have been asked not to indulge in similar activities, not make any public statements about the case, attend the NCB office every Friday between 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and also go there as and when called.
'Fraudulent': Bombay HC cancels MP Navneet Kaur-Rana's caste certificate

A division bench of Justice R.D. Dhanuka and Justice V.G. Bisht, while cancelling and confiscating the caste certificate, has ordered her to a pay a fine of Rs 2 lakh to the Maharashtra Legal Services Authority within a fortnight. Rana is the wife of independent MLA from Badnera, Ravi Rana, the founder of Yuva Swabhiman Party (YSP) and is a relative of yoga guru Ramdev Baba.
Won't allow 'experiments' with glitched ventilators: Bombay HC

In its verdict on Wednesday, a Division Bench comprising Justice Ravindra Ghuge and Justice B.U. Debadwar said that they would "not permit experimentation of ventilators which have undergone major repairs in treating the patients, since this would be causing a risk/health hazard to the patients, and unfortunately, the use of such ventilators may cause loss of life, which must be averted".

The High Court's single bench of Justice SC Gupte said that the alterations to the judgement should be made in three days, before the order is uploaded to the court's online portal for public viewing, after Solicitor General Tushar Mehta pointed out that the order by the Additional District and Sessions judge Kshama Joshi contained references to the victim's husband and her email id.

Navlakha had challenged the Bombay High Court's February 8 order, which declined to grant him bail, holding that the alleged illegal detention period cannot be considered to compute maximum 90 days' time, which is mandatory to file charge sheet, or the accused could get statutory bail.
