BJP gears up for 'Mission Repeat' in upcoming Himachal elections
Preparing to repeat its poll performance of 2018 Assembly elections, the saffron party's high command is planning "Mission Repeat" in the hilly state which can be gauged from the fact that BJP National President, J.P. Nadda has visited the state twice in April. The 2023 Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh will be contested under the leadership of current Chief Minister and BJP leader, Jairam Thakur but it will also be a prestige battle for Nadda's political presence in his own native state.
After Jahangirpuri, BJP to urge East and South Delhi Mayors to remove encroachments
Sources in the Delhi BJP said that a similar encroachment removal drive will be carried out in other parts of the city in the coming days. "We had received the go ahead from the BJP central leadership for the anti-encroachment drive in Jahangirpuri. Now, the other two municipal corporations, East and South, will also be urged to remove encroachments by Bangladeshis and Rohingyas in the coming days," they said.

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said: "AAP leaders are instigating people to attack BJP headquarters and Union Home Minister's residence. This is irresponsible as well as illegal." AAP leaders should apologise to the whole country for such shameful statements, Bidhuri said.
Delhi BJP and AAP spar over anti-encroachment drive in Jahangirpuri
While the BJP blamed AAP for giving religious colour to the drive, the latter said that an order has been issued to harass a particular community in the name of encroachment. The North Delhi Municipal Corporation has requested the Delhi Police to provide 400 police personnel for maintaining law and order during the encroachment removal action on April 20 and 21.

The Hyderabad MP was reacting to demolition of alleged illegal encroachments in riot-hit Jahangirpuri in New Delhi. "BJP has declared war against the poorest. In the name of encroachment it's going to destroy homes in Delhi like UP & MP. No notice, no opportunity to go to court, simply punishing poor Muslims for daring to stay alive," Owaisi tweeted.

Speaking on the occasion, Yogi Adityanath said that though the number of families was 63, the number of persons who would benefit was 400. He said that it was the vision of the Centre that would now allow these displaced Hindu families to get the advantage of government schemes. He also slammed the previous governments for not caring about them. According to a government spokesman, these refugees had settled in different parts of the state.
