Centre likely to seek reports from NCB on handling of cruise ship drug case involving Aryan khan

According to sources, the Ministry has taken a serious view on the alleged charges of corruption against the Mumbai Zonal Director of NCB Sameer Wankhede and also the way the arrests were made in the case. Sources, aware of these developments, claimed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also annoyed with the NCB officials about the new turns in the case which took place during the last week.

Justice N. W. Sambre, who granted bail to Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha on Thursday, has asked them to furnish one or more surety and not leave Mumbai or India without the permission of the Narcotics Control Bureau investigating officer. They have been asked not to indulge in similar activities, not make any public statements about the case, attend the NCB office every Friday between 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and also go there as and when called.

While granting a conditional bail to the trio, Justice N.W. Sambre passed the operative order and the detailed order is expected on Friday. Accordingly, the trio of Khan, Merchant and Dhamecha will not step out of the jails till the court's orders are received, said a defence lawyer. The accused trio -- along with five others -- were detained on October 2 when the NCB swooped on the alleged rave party aboard the Cordelia Cruise ship.
Wankhede family was Muslim: Sameer's ex-in-law's bombshell

Speaking to hordes of mediapersons, Dr. Quraishi -- the ex-father-in-law of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede -- said that the two families had "excellent relations" prior to his (Sameer's) wedding with his daughter. "The marriage took place before they were Muslims... Otherwise it would not have materialised... They were good Muslims, performing 'namaz' and 'Ramadan rozas' also," Dr. Quraishi asserted, dropping a bombshell.

Gosavi, a Mumbai-based private detective, had made headlines with his selfie with Aryan Khan after the Starkid was arrested from a cruise in a drug-related case. Gosavi had said that he wanted to surrender in UP as he felt 'threatened' in Maharashtra. However, the UP Police made it clear that Gosavi cannot surrender in a police station falling in the state as it lacked any jurisdiction to take any action against him.
