Jyothi, who had won two silver medals in the competition so far in the Compound Women's Team and Compound Mixed Team on Friday, defeated her Italian opponent 148-146 in a closely-fought last-four encounter. The 25-year-old Indian seeded sixth following the ranking round will meet top-seed Sara Lopez of Colombia in the final. Sara defeated Slovenia's Toja Ellison 150-147 in the other semi-final.

After losing the first set 25-27, Das came back strongly to tie the scores in the second with a superb 10 on the first arrow, putting pressure on the Japanese as he had to score a 10 on the final arrow to tie scores 28-28. Das struck two 10s off the first two arrows of the third set and a nine off the last arrow. In response, Furukawa shot 8, 10, and 9 as he lost the set 27-28, with the set scores tied 3-3.

Deepika got a 7 and two 10s to finish the first set with 27 as the Korean took a 2-0 lead. Deepika began the second set with 10 while An shot a 9. But the Indian could not follow up her 10 with a strong score, hitting just 7.
