Apple dominates global tablet market amid supply concerns: IDC
The April-June period was another strong quarter for both Chromebooks and tablets with both device categories recording growth despite a challenging year-over-year comparison. According to preliminary data from the IDC's eQuarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker', Chromebook shipments grew 68.6 per cent (year-over-year) with volumes reaching 12.3 million units.

App Store now accepting UPI, Rupay cards for payments in India
The acceptance of RuPay and UPI cards means Apple users in India will be able to use the domestic payment systems as alternatives to regular credit or debit card payment methods to add funds to their Apple ID balance. Apple releases watchOS 7.6.1 with security update
The watchOS 7.6.1 comes two weeks after the release of watchOS 7.6, an update that brought ECG capabilities to new regions, MacRumors reported on Thursday. Apple said during its earnings call on Tuesday that the iPhone revenue set a June quarter record of $39.6 billion. "The big difference here is the mix of iPhones selling. Apple launched the low-cost iPhone SE in April 2020, which accounted for 28 per cent of its mix at that time. This year, with no new iPhone SE, its average selling price increased drastically," said Le Xuan Chiew, Canalys Research Analyst.
