Aaftab Poonawala withdraws his bail plea applied 'erroneously' at Delhi Saket Court

On December 17, he had said that he signed the 'vakalatnama' but did not know about filing a bail application. Additional Sessions Judge Vrinda Kumari had said the court received an intimation from Poonawala through email that the bail application was moved by mistake.
Aaftab Amin Poonawalla's judicial custody extended for 14 more days

Poonawalla, who killed his live-in partner Shraddha on May 18 and then chopped her body into 35 pieces, is currently lodged in Tihar Jail. On November 26, he was sent to a 13-day judicial custody by the court. On December 2, Poonawalla's narco test got over. It was conducted by Forensic Science Laboratory officials inside the prison.

Sources said that jail officials will provide Aaftab the same soon. Aaftab is lodged in jail No. 4. As per sources, food is being served to Aaftab only in the presence of police. He is also under the radar of officials throughout day and night and a security guard is also stationed outside his cell.
Shraddha murder case: Aaftab's narco test concludes

The test was successful and provided several clues to the investigators, they added. Aaftab was taken to Ambedkar hospital around 8.30 a.m. for his narco test, which started around 10 a.m and ended at 12.30 p.m, they said. His polygraph test at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Rohini ended on Tuesday.
'Aaftab's brain mapping to be done if narco, polygraph tests are inconclusive'

"Polygraph test report of Aaftab will be submitted within two days and his narco test is expected to presented either on Thursday or Friday. After narco test, it is up to the investigators to demand brain mapping after they do not get answers expected by the accused," said a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) source.
