Xiaomi has unveiled its new flagship phones, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, at a global launch event in Barcelona.
The phones are loaded with professional-level camera systems, AI-driven features, and high-performance hardware, with the aim of targeting the premium segment. Official India launch details will be announced on March 11.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is photography-focussed, with a Leica-like design on the outside that comes with a glass fiber and PU leather finish. It has a 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED screen with a 3200 nits peak brightness and has an ultrasonic fingerprint reader for rapid entry. The quad-camera system features a 50MP Leica primary sensor with a 1-inch lens, a 70mm floating telephoto, a 200MP 100mm ultra-telephoto camera, and an ultra-wide 14mm lens. The phone records 4K video at 120fps, Dolby Vision® at 60fps, and features advanced stabilization for professional-level video quality. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra Photography Kit Legend Edition also features a camera-inspired grip, shutter buttons, and another 2000mAh battery for long photography sessions.
Conversely, the Xiaomi 15 is available with a smaller design option that includes a 6.36-inch CrystalRes AMOLED screen and an aluminum body. It includes a triple-camera setup with a 50MP Leica main camera, 60mm floating telephoto camera, and 14mm ultra-wide camera. The Xiaomi 15 has an 8K video recording capacity at 30fps and a Dolby Vision® 4K recording at 60fps.
Both the phones are fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, supported by Xiaomi's IceLoop cooling system to maximize performance. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra has a 5410mAh battery and 90W wired and 80W wireless charging, whereas the Xiaomi 15 features a 5240mAh battery and 50W wireless charging. Both the phones use Xiaomi HyperOS 2, which has AI-powered capabilities like speech recognition, image quality improvement, and cross-device support with iOS/macOS.
The Xiaomi 15 begins at EUR 999 (approximately ₹90,000), and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra starts at EUR 1499 (approximately ₹1,36,000). Photography Kit is also available as an individual purchase at EUR 199 (approximately ₹18,000). More details about pricing and availability in India will be shared on March 11.
