In the interview, Musk termed the Twitter ban on Trump as "morally wrong" and "flat-out stupid." Questioned on Twitter about being bought by Elon Answering a question on the possibility of Trump coming back on Twitter, Musk said, “Donald Trump himself has announced that he will not come back to Twitter as he has his own social media platform. This is the point I am trying to make which perhaps is not getting across. Banning Donald Trump from Twitter did not end Trump's voice. It will amplify it among the right and that's why it was morally wrong and flat-out stupid.”
Musk also asserted that he and former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey agree that Permanent bans should be ‘extremely rare’ and restricted to accounts that operate bots or spread spams. Replying to a twitter user's query on Musk's statement, Dorsey said, “It was a business decision, it shouldn't have been. and we should always revisit our decisions and evolve as necessary. I stated in that thread and still believe that permanent bans of individuals are directionally wrong.”
A bit confused. That old thread you posted says you agree with the decision, but regret the circumstances/decisions/etc. that led to that conclusion of a perma ban. Or am I misreading? Or are you saying the decision should have been subsequently revisited?
