"We will make twitter best for customers": Parag Agrawal starts restructuring microblogging site

Two senior Twitter executives- Dantley Davis and Michael Montano- had to step down as part of the new CEO's  "bold and right" strategy to achieve ambitious goals. Parag Agrawal, the Indian-origin techie who graduated from IIT-Bombay, is known for devising new strategies involving artificial intelligence and machine learning.

After taking over as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Twitter, Parag Agrawal has started restructring the leading micro-blogging site with an aim to make it the best for both its customers as well as shareholders. Two senior Twitter executives- Dantley Davis and Michael Montano- had to step down as part of the new CEO's  "bold and right" strategy to achieve ambitious goals. 1. Twitter's Chief Design Officer Dantley Davis, who joined the company in 2019, and Head of Engineering Michael Montano, who joined in 2011, have quit the organisation,  The Washington Post reported  citing an internal email of the company.

2. Briefing about the changes made in the company, a twitter spokesperson said "Dantley's departure is singularly focused around shifting our organisational model around a structure that has one lead manager supporting a key company objective".  "We don't have further details to share on these changes out of respect for the individuals involved," he added.

3. Parag Agrawal clarified his stance in an email, stating that the company has recently updated its strategy to hit ambitious goals, "and I believe that strategy to be bold and right". In the sequence he further added,"But our critical challenge is how we work to execute against it and deliver results -- that's how we'll make Twitter the best it can be for our customers, shareholders and each of you."

4. To amplify the new changes made by the twitter CEO, the company conveyed "Parag is focused on operational excellence and setting Twitter up to hit its goals and these changes were made with that in mind"

5. On November 29 this year, Parag Agrawal became the CEO of Twitter as soon as former CEO Jack Dorsey stepped down. Parag is an IITian from Mumbai and joined Twitter in 2011, later he became the company's CTO in 2017.
