Satya Nadella Announces Availability of AI-Enhanced Copilot+PCs

The laptops come in four color options and cost an ERP (estimated retail price) starting at $999 on Microsoft.com and in the Microsoft Experience Centre, the company stated in a release.

Microsoft unveiled its newest creation: Copilot+ PCs, comprising Surface Laptop and Surface Pro, which it claims are the best Windows PCs for the AI age.

The laptops come in four color options and cost an ERP (estimated retail price) starting at $999 on Microsoft.com and in the Microsoft Experience Centre, the company stated in a release.

The 13.8-inch Surface Laptop, 7th Edition, is offered with 64GB RAM starting at $2,399.99 in black. It features the Snapdragon X Elite (12 Core) Processor and supports 1TB SSD Storage.

Those who want a larger screen can get the 15-inch Surface Laptop, 7th Edition, which will also start at $2,499.99 in black when fitted with 64GB RAM with the Snapdragon X Elite processor and 1TB SSD Storage.

"Today ushers in a new Windows era as we introduce Copilot+ PCs. We can't wait to see how these innovative AI-powered devices will help people accomplish more and bring their imagination to life," said Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO of Microsoft.

Microsoft pointed to the fact that both the new Surface Laptop and Surface Pro co-designed with Snapdragon X Series Processors represent a completely new level of performance and battery life. There will be an extra hardy NPU for Advanced AI capabilities in the devices.

Copilot + PCs powered by the immense LLMs in the Azure Cloud along with small LLMs will offer new scaled performance.

"They are up to 20 times more powerful and up to 100 times more efficient for executing AI workloads, setting a new standard in AI acceleration," the company emphasized.
