Samsung Unveils Global Launch Plans for AI-Enhanced Washer-Dryer Combo in Q2

Samsung Electronics (KS:005930) announced on Monday its plan to introduce the latest iteration of its Bespoke Artificial Intelligence (AI) Combo washer-dryer globally during the second quarter (Q2) of this year. The Bespoke AI Combo, which marries a 25 kg washing capacity with a 15 kg heat-pump drying capability, made its debut in South Korea at the end of the previous month, as reported by Yonhap News Agency.

Within a mere two weeks, the product gained significant traction, witnessing over 3,000 units sold in the domestic market.

Moo-hyung Lee, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' home appliance division, disclosed in a press conference, "Shipments to the United States have already commenced, with the official launch slated for this month."

He further added, "The global rollout is scheduled for the second quarter."

Lee emphasized that the new laundry appliance primarily targets consumers in South Korea and the US, recognizing the distinct consumer preferences prevalent in Europe, where compact home appliances are favored due to spatial constraints.

Samsung highlighted that the latest Bespoke AI Combo aims to simplify laundry routines for consumers and promote energy efficiency through its space-saving design.

Leveraging the company's advanced heat pump technology, the washer-dryer combo promises performance comparable to standalone dryers.

Furthermore, its incorporation of cutting-edge AI chips and the Tizen operating system enhances user convenience while optimizing energy consumption.
