Samsung Electronics has taken the spotlight ahead of CES 2024 by unveiling its latest high-end TV, boasting enhanced connectivity and cutting-edge features driven by its newest artificial intelligence (AI) processor.
The flagship 2024 Neo QLED 8K TV, powered by the NQ8 AI Gen 3 AI processor and Samsung's AI-based neural quantum processor technologies, made its grand debut at "The First Look" showcase in Las Vegas, setting the stage for this year's tech extravaganza.
This model represents a culmination of Samsung's 18 years of technological expertise and leadership in the global TV market, according to reports from Yonhap news agency.
The NQ8 AI 3rd Generation processor stands as Samsung's most potent TV processor yet, with an impressive 512 neural networks, a leap eight times larger than the previous year. Additionally, it touts a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) twice as fast as its predecessor, empowering the TV to upscale content to 8K resolution. This results in a more immersive and vibrant viewing experience with heightened contrast, color depth, and brightness.
Complemented by wireless speakers and an advanced sound bar featuring Q-Symphony technology, the Neo QLED 8K TV promises dynamic tracking sound, clear voice quality, and seamless integration, enriching the overall audiovisual experience.
The TV's AI capabilities shine in various scenarios, offering an immersive feel for live sports, concerts, and online streaming, even enhancing lower-quality formats like SD or FULL HD, mirroring the ambiance of VIP seats at events.
Beyond hardware advancements, the TV runs on Samsung's proprietary Tizen operating system, ensuring a versatile and unified ecosystem across smartphones, TVs, and tablets. The 2024 Tizen OS Home introduces personalized content recommendations for individual registered accounts, catering to a tailored viewing experience for every family member.
Moreover, Samsung's new lineup of TVs showcased at CES 2024 will feature the Samsung Daily+ function, presenting users with an overview of content and information, including popular titles and recently watched shows.
Highlighting accessibility, the 2024 Samsung TVs introduce the innovative Audio Subtitle feature, leveraging AI and optical character recognition (OCR) technology to convert subtitles into real-time speech, making content more inclusive and accessible.
