Twitter to set up its 1st African presence in Ghana
In a tweet late on Monday, Dorsey said: "Twitter is now present on the continent. Thank you, Ghana and Nana Akufo-Addo " In a statement, Twitter said the company is looking for specialists to join several teams including product, design, engineering, marketing and communications in Ghana.
Xiaomi to unveil 'X' series in India on April 23
The company confirmed the news via press invites for an event. CEO Manu Kumar Jain also wrote on Twitter that the flagship series is coming to India. "Mi Fans, Xcited that 'X' flagship series is coming to #India!" the CEO tweeted. According to GSMArena, the Mi X series will include rebrands of the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro, launched in China recently, as Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro.
Microsoft buys speech-recognition company Nuance for $19.7B
The companies entered into a definitive agreement under which Microsoft will acquire Nuance for $56 per share, implying a 23 per cent premium to the closing price of Nuance that is inclusive of Nuance's net debt. Mark Benjamin will remain CEO of Nuance, reporting to Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of Cloud & AI at Microsoft.
iQOO, Amazon partner to launch flagship smartphone in India
The iQOO 7 series will have two devices in the line-up -- iQOO 7 Legend and iQOO 7 -- and will be available exclusively on Amazon. "We have been working on iQOO 7 series for the past one year and trying to understand the needs of Indian consumers," Gagan Arora, Director-Marketing - iQOO, told IANS.

LG Wing to be available at Rs 29,999 on Flipkart
A Flipkart listing with revised pricing suggests the smartphone with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which was launched in the country at Rs 69,990, will now soon be available at the mentioned discounted price. As the company recently announced to close down its mobile phone business unit, LG is offering discounts on its smartphones on the platform.

Besides being its own app, Google Lens is also available in Image Search, Photos and integrated across Android.Opening an image with words reveals a "Copy text from image" suggestion chip that features the (old) Lens logo and dismiss button. The study, led by researchers from the Pennsylvania State University in the US, showed that adults that used Facebook as an additional source of news in any way were less likely to answer Covid-19 questions correctly than those who did not.
