Mercedes, BMW, IBM, Panasonic to skip in-person events at CES 2022

While Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the governing body on CES, plans to go ahead with the show, several tech companies like OnePlus, AMD, MSI, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Lenovo, T-Mobile, AT&T, Meta, Twitter, Amazon, TikTok, Pinterest, Alphabet-owned Waymo, along with several media outlets, will not attend the consumer electronics show. "Out of an abundance of caution, BMW will move all planned media activities at CES to a fully online programme from Germany on January 5," BMW said in a statement to The Verge.

The report mentioned that the smartphone will be the company's first smartphone to arrive with OIS support. OIS is a technology for cameras that physically moves the camera lens or sensor to compensate for unintentional camera movement.

According to a report by IT security company Cloudflare, the viral video app gets more hits than the US-based search engine. The rankings show that TikTok knocked Google off the top spot in February, March and June this year, and has held the number one position since August.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra likely to feature 1TB internal storage

According to GizmoChina, it is likely that the 1TB internal storage model will come packed with 16GB RAM. There will also be a 12GB RAM model and three other internal storage options -- 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. This won't be the first time Samsung will offer a 1TB storage version for its smartphone. A couple of years back, in 2019, the company had launched the Galaxy S10 Plus with 1TB of internal storage as well as a microSD card slot, the report said.

Foldable smartphone market set to gain momentum in India

The foldable smartphone revenues are expected to grow by 60 per cent next year, translating to Rs 3,200 crore for the industry that will include Samsung and a few more original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) which are expected to launch their foldable smartphones in 2022, according to data provided by market research firm Techarc.
