Apple launches 'Business Essentials' service for small businesses
Flexible plans can be customised to support each user and device in an organisation with up to 2TB of secure storage in iCloud, starting at $2.99 per month after a two-month free trial. Apple also unveiled new AppleCare+ for Business Essentials options that can be added to any plan. Plans that include AppleCare+ for Apple Business Essentials start at $9.99 per month.
Google Docs to offer more assistive writing suggestions
In a bid to improve the quality of writing and fix straightforward grammar and spelling errors, tech giant Google is adding several new assistive writing features in Google Docs for its users. The new features offer a variety of stylistic and writing suggestions as users compose documents. "We have added several new assistive writing features in Google Docs, which will provide a variety of tone and style suggestions to help you create impactful documents faster," the company said in a blogpost.
WhatsApp bans over 1.4 mn bad accounts in India in Feb
The company said that it also received 335 grievance reports in the same month from the country and took action on 21 of those in February. "In accordance with the IT Rules 2021, we've published our ninth monthly report for the month of February 2022," a WhatsApp spokesperson said in a statement. "As captured in the latest Monthly Report, WhatsApp banned over 1.4 million accounts in the month of February," the spokesperson added.
Snapchat users can now share videos directly from YouTube app
Snapchat said that over 2 billion logged-in users visit YouTube every month to tune into videos that help them find new music, learn different skills, catch up on news, and discover more about the world around them. Meta plans to expand reach of WhatsApp chatbot in India

Apple releases macOS Monterey 12.3.1
Apple has released macOS Monterey 12.3.1, a minor update to the macOS Monterey operating system that launched in October. The macOS 12.3.1 includes fixes for USB-C or Thunderbolt displays not turning on when connected to a 2018 Mac mini as a second display, reports Apple Insider. Apple also fixed an issue where Bluetooth devices like game controllers would disconnect from a Mac when Beats headphones were connected.

Disney hires Google veteran Jeremy Doig as CTO of streaming group
Disney has announced that it has roped in former Google executive Jeremy Doig as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Disney Streaming. Doig, a 30-year veteran in online media, will lead the technology organisation and global technology strategy for The Walt Disney Company's portfolio of direct-to-consumer streaming services.
YouTube may be getting dedicated podcasts homepage
According to TechCrunch, the details were published by Podnews, which recently got its hands on an 84-page presentation where YouTube described its podcasts roadmap. In the document, the company said it will improve podcast ingestion by piloting the ability to pull in podcast RSS feeds. It also said it plans to centralise podcasts on a new homepage at YouTube.com/podcasts.
WhatsApp sees 7 bn voice messages daily, unveils new tools
The company announced new features that will make the voice message experience on WhatsApp even better. Now, users can listen to a voice message outside of the chat so they can multitask or read and respond to other messages. "When recording a voice message, you can now pause the recording and resume when ready, in case you're interrupted or need to gather your thoughts," WhatsApp said in a statement.
