SpaceX signs 1st deal to provide Starlink internet service on planes
According to Space.com, the service will be available later this year to customers of JSX, a charter airline company that plans to equip 100 planes with Starlink-provided inflight Wi-Fi. "The service will be offered to all JSX customers at no charge, and will not require logging in or other complexities associated with legacy systems," JSX representative was quoted as saying in an emailed statement.
Tesla car on 'Smart Summon' crashes into $3.5mn private jet
The Tesla owner was apparently using the 'Smart Summon' feature that enables a Tesla vehicle to leave a parking space and navigate around obstacles to its owner. With the Tesla app, you can "summon" your car from your smartphone to you from a maximum distance of 200 feet.
Twitter bans misleading climate change ads
The micro-blogging platform said that misleading advertisements on Twitter "that contradict the scientific consensus on climate change are prohibited, in line with our inappropriate content policy". Lapsus$ hacks into T-Mobile, gains access to internal tools
T-Mobile said "no customer or government information" was accessed during the incident. Krebs said that the hackers were able to steal source code for a range of company projects. "Several weeks ago, our monitoring tools detected a bad actor using stolen credentials to access internal systems that house operational tools software," the company said in a statement.

While Facebook (now Meta) had reported its first loss in the number of DAUs last quarter, Twitter's monetizable DAUs grew only by 2 per cent in the US and 15 per cent globally. Snap (parent company of Snapchat) grew its revenue 38 per cent year-over-year to reach $1.06 billion for the quarter that ended March 31, 2022. "Our first quarter results reflect the underlying momentum in our business through a challenging operating environment," said Evan Spiegel, CEO.
Google Messages bug causes severe battery drain
According to 9To5Google, within the Google Messages app, there is an easy way to quickly snap a picture and immediately attach it to a message and send it to a friend. In the view for attaching images from your gallery, there is also a live feed from your camera to either take an immediate snapshot from that thumbnail view or you can expand it for a better view. In recent updates of the Google Messages app, a bug in the app occasionally leaves this camera feed running even when it is not on screen, including when Messages is in the background.
