Android 13 rolled out with new features for Pixel devices
Google said Android 13 will roll out to Samsung Galaxy, ASUS, HMD (Nokia phones), iQOO, Motorola, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Sharp, Sony, Tecno, vivo, Xiaomi and more later this year. "Android 13 comes with new capabilities for your phone and tablet, like extending app colour theming to even more apps, language settings that can be set on an app level, improved privacy controls..." Sameer Samat, VP of Product Management, Android and Google Play, said in a blogpost.
Chinese internet giants hand algorithm data to govt
Algorithms decide what users see and the order they see it in and are critical to driving the growth of social media platforms. They are closely guarded by companies, the BBC reported. In the US Meta and Alphabet have successfully argued they are trade secrets amid calls for more disclosure. The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has published a list with the descriptions of 30 algorithms, the BBC reported. In a statement it said that its algorithm list would be routinely updated in a bid to curb data abuse.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said in an internal email sent to employees that they will come to the office three days each week with Tuesday and Thursday as set days across the company. "But now, the third day you come in will be decided by your teams. Each team will work through the decision about which day is right for them, and you'll hear from your leaders soon," he wrote.
Snapchat+ users can now get noticed by celebrities
The company said that as part of users' subscription, they can now access even more exclusive features. "It is been just over six weeks since we launched Snapchat+ and we are thrilled to share there are over 1 million paying subscribers." The new 'Priority Story Replies' will allow Snapchat+ replies to be more visible to Snap Stars. They can also pick an emoji they want their friends to see after they view Snaps.
Sony PlayStation4 pipped Xbox One sales, admits Microsoft

Zoom fixes most dangerous meeting bug on Apple macOS
The company said in a security update that the Zoom client for meetings for macOS, starting with version 5.7.3 and before 5.11.5, "contains a vulnerability in the auto update process".
