FB users sue Meta for tracking them on iOS devices via a workaround
The lawsuit, filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, alleged that Meta follows users' online activity by "funneling them into the web browser built into Facebook and injecting JavaScript into the sites they visit". According to a TechCrunch report, that code makes it possible for the company to monitor "every single interaction with external websites".
Twitter hunts for connection between whistleblower Zatko & Musk
The Delaware Court of Chancery in the US, where the legal battle is set to begin from october 17, has agreed on a request by Twitter for details about whether Musk or his associates knew about Zatko's claims before he took them to the public. Judge Kathleen McCormick on Thursday ordered Musk's legal team to provide some of the documents being requested by Twitter regarding any communications by them with Zatko.
Tesla recalls 1.1 mn vehicles to prevent drivers from pinching by windows
The windows in these Tesla cars would not recognise certain objects while closing, which could result in "a pinching injury to the occupant." The recall covers 2017-2022 Model 3, 2020-2021 Model Y, and 2021-2022 Model S and Model X vehicles. The electric car-maker said it will release an over-the-air (OTA) firmware update to affected vehicles that enhances the calibration of the vehicle's automatic window reversal system behaviour, "at no cost to the customer".
Centre proposes to bring WhatsApp, Zoom under telecom licence
The government has, however, proposed to give exemption to press messages that are intended to be published in India of correspondents accredited to the Central or state governments from being intercepted. "For provision of Telecommunication Services and Telecommunication Networks, an entity shall have to obtain a license," according to the draft of the Indian Telecommunication Bill 2022.

Google rolls out tool to let people remove personal info directly in Search
