Twitter 'Verification for Organisations' now available globally
The platform tweeted from its 'Twitter Verified' account: "Starting today, Verified Organisations are available globally. We are now sending email invitations to approved organisations from the waitlist." According to the company, Verified Organisations is a new way for organisations and their affiliates to differentiate themselves on the micro-blogging platform.
Amazon sues sellers for submitting fake takedown requests against competitors
Amazon's Counterfeit Crimes Unit (CCU) filed lawsuits against multiple groups that submitted thousands of false copyright infringement claims against Amazon's selling partners in an effort to have those sellers and their products removed from the Amazon store. "We know how important it is to our selling partners to have a consistent Amazon store experience, and we will be unrelenting in our pursuit of bad actors that attempt to undermine that experience," said Kebharu Smith, director of Amazon's Counterfeit Crimes Unit.

Google says reviewing NCLAT order in CCI case, weighing legal options
The NCLAT has directed that Google will have to pay the fine of Rs 1,337.76 crore, imposed on it by the CCI in October last year for anti-competitive practices in relation to Android mobile devices. "We are grateful for the opportunity given by the NCLAT to make our case. We are reviewing the order and evaluating our legal options," a Google spokesperson told IANS.
