Google announces auto-migration of Calendar, Assistant Reminders to Task
"Over the last several weeks, Google Workspace users had the opportunity to voluntarily migrate their reminders to Tasks," the tech giant said in a Workspace Updates blogpost on Thursday. "For Google Workspace users: If you have not already migrated your Reminders to Tasks, they will be migrated starting today."

The information was shared on Reddit by a Galaxy Watch owner running the One UI 5 Watch beta, reports Android Authority. "You can transfer your watch to a new phone without resetting it," reads a section of the screenshot shared by the Reddit user. According to DownDetector, which monitors online outages, 44 per cent of users had issues with the app, 32 per cent had problems with the web version, and 24 per cent had issues with the server connection. People took to Twitter to report the problems they were facing with the app, including posting memes and GIFs.
Google to end Drive app support on Windows 8, 8.1
"To avoid service interruption, Windows users should upgrade to Windows 10 (64 bit) or higher before August 2023," Google said in a support page. The company further said that users of a 32-bit version of Windows can still access Google Drive through a browser.
Users can now create desktop shortcut for Google Password Manager
Also, Google Password Manager now has a dedicated home in Chrome on desktop which makes it easier for users to review their saved online credentials or change their password settings, the tech giant said in a blogpost on Thursday. Currently only available on mobile, biometric authentication is coming soon to desktop.
