Additionally, Meta plans to hide search results related to suicide, self-harm, and eating disorders, directing users to expert resources for assistance. The existing protection for certain search terms breaking platform rules will be extended to include more terms. This update will be gradually rolled out to all users in the coming weeks.

To reinforce safety and privacy, Meta is sending notifications to teens, encouraging them to regularly check and update their settings for a more private experience. By tapping "Turn on recommended settings," teens' settings will be automatically adjusted to restrict reposting, tagging, and mentioning, along with limiting who can message them. This aims to create a safer and more controlled environment for young users on these social media platforms.
