Wallet, a new app from Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) that allows users to securely save and retrieve digital documents such as cinema tickets, boarding passes, loyalty cards, and other crucial documents, was introduced in India on Wednesday. It will provide instant access to daily necessities. Users of Android devices around the nation can now download the app from the Play Store.
Ram Papatla, General Manager and India Engineering Lead, Android at Google, congratulated the partnership with leading Indian brands for the app, which promised to help users safely manage all the important documents. Be it your boarding passes for travel, your loyalty cards for rewards, or your event tickets for entertainment—Google Wallet keeps it at hand every time you need it.
The launch of the Wallet app builds on the existing services of Google Pay, which are already making payments easier across the country.
In order to make Google Wallet possible, the digital behemoth also teamed up with twenty of the leading companies in the nation, including PVR (NS:PVRL) & INOX, Air India, Indigo, Flipkart, Pine Labs, Kochi Metro, Abhibus, and many more.
