Elon Musk opens up on Indian-origin Ashok Elluswamy's selection as Tesla's autopilot head

In an interview, he also revealed that Andrej Karpathy is the director of artificial intelligence and Autopilot Vision in the same team. As per media reports, Ashok Elluswamy completed his undergraduate graduation from the College of Engineering Guindy in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He completed his Master’s in Robotics System Development from Carnegie Mellon University.

He currently works as the head of Autopilot Engineering.

In an interview, he also revealed that Andrej Karpathy is the director of artificial intelligence and Autopilot Vision in the same team. As per media reports, Ashok Elluswamy completed his undergraduate graduation from the College of Engineering Guindy in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He completed his Master’s in Robotics System Development from Carnegie Mellon University.

Musk also recently invited job applications from dedicated Artificial Intelligence (AI) via twitter. The application asked for the candidate’s name, email and his/her resume outlining any exceptional work done in the field of hardware, software and/or AI.

Tesla has a market cap of over one trillion USD and its CEO Musk is the richest man in the world with his net worth estimated to be around USD 277 billion, most of it in Tesla stocks. Tesla recently announced that it delivered over one million electric vehicles all across the world, beating its own estimate to increase sales by 50 percent.
