Apple on Monday unveiled the latest iMac, with a M4 chip and Apple Intelligence, and a nano-texture display option, a 12MP Center Stage camera, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity-all within a jaw-dropping thin design.
According to Apple, iMac with M4 is up to 1.7x faster than the version with M1 for day-to-day productivity and up to 2.1x faster than the previous model for intense workflows, such as editing photos or playing games.
The new iMac now offers a range of beautiful colors and its 24-inch 4.5K Retina display also comes with an option of nano-texture glass. iMac also features a new 12MP Center Stage camera, Desk View, as many as four Thunderbolt 4 ports, and colour-matched accessories, USB-C. iMac has been priced at Rs 134,900, beginning with 16GB unified memory. Pre-order is open for the new iMac from November 8 onwards.
"iMac is loved by millions of users, from families at home to entrepreneurs hard at work. With the amazing features of Apple Intelligence and the powerful performance of Apple silicon, the new iMac changes the game once again," said John Ternus, Apple's senior vice president of Hardware Engineering.
It is a whole new era for iMac, he added, with M4 and Apple Intelligence, stunning new colors that really make a statement in any space, an advanced 12MP Center Stage camera, and a new nano-texture glass display option.
iMac with M4 can handle such intense workloads as photo editing and gaming up to 2.1 times faster than iMac with M1. This also gives a smoother gameplay experience with titles like the upcoming Civilization VII. The new iMac starts with 16GB of faster unified memory-configurable up to 32GB. M4's Neural Engine is over 3x faster than on iMac with M1, which makes it the world's best all-in-one for AI and accelerates the speed at which users can get things done, said Apple.

This new iMac is designed using environment-friendliness, and it is available with the following:
Stand: Made from recycled aluminum
All multiple printed circuit boards have gold plating
Tin soldering on all printed circuit boards
Printed circuit boards include copper.
