Apple Unveils iPhone 16 Series, Launching in India on September 20

Tech Giant Apple introduced on Monday the most awaited series of iPhones, the iPhone 16, with Apple Intelligence, larger displays, enhanced camera controls, and innovative pro-camera features, among others, with improved battery life.

The company claims, on the other hand, that the new 48MP Fusion camera with an ultra-fast quad-pixel sensor on the A18 Pro chip-powered iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be capable of capturing 4K120 fps in Dolby Vision.

These will arrive in black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium shades, with storage options of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The iPhone 16 Pro begins at Rs 119,900, while the commencing price of the iPhone 16 Pro Max is Rs 144,900.

Indian customers can pre-order the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max from this Friday onwards, September 13, while availability will commence from September 20.

The other colors of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus include ultramarine, teal, pink, white, and black. They will also be made available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. The starting price of the iPhone 16 is Rs 79,900. Pricing for iPhone 16 Plus begins from Rs 89,900, the company said. Pre-orders start on September 13, the devices will be available from September 20.

It also launched the Apple Watch Series 10 with an enhanced design and a host of new features, which includes sleep apnea notifications, fast charging, water depth and temperature sensors, plus advanced health and fitness insights via watchOS 11.

The Apple Watch Series 10 will come in both aluminum and titanium, in a variety of colors and finishes. Meanwhile, the new jet-black polished aluminum finish gives it that distinctive reflective look, and the titanium cases in natural, gold, and slate retain a rich, jewelry-like shine.

Indian users can pre-order the Apple Watch Series 10, which will be in-store starting from September 20, onwards. The starting price of the Apple Watch Series 10 is Rs 46,900, whereas the Watch SE starts at Rs 24,900.

The latest Apple Watch Series 10 is almost 10 percent thinner compared to its earlier versions, including the Series 7, Series 8, and Series 9.

Apple also announced Apple Watch Ultra 2 in an all-new black titanium finish, further enriched by capabilities in watchOS 11, making this rugged and capable watch even more sophisticated.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 packs the most accurate GPS in a sports watch, the brightest display of any Apple product, and up to 36 hours of regular battery life or up to 72 hours in Low Power Mode.

Consumers will also be able to pre-order the AirPods 4 from September 20 for Rs 12,900. The Active Noise Cancellation model of AirPods 4 will start at Rs 17,900, while the AirPods Pro 2 will be priced at Rs 24,900. The option to pre-order the AirPods Max with USB-C charging starts on September 20 for Rs 59,900.
