Apple Swiftly Withdraws iOS 17.3 Beta 2 Due to Boot Loop Concerns Shortly After Release

Several users reported that the software was causing their devices to become unresponsive, stuck in a perpetual boot loop.

Apple has withdrawn the second betas of iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3 from the Developer Center and over-the-air updates merely three hours after release due to a boot loop issue. Several users reported that the software was causing their devices to become unresponsive, stuck in a perpetual boot loop.

According to reports from MacRumors, the boot loop bug may be linked to the Back Tap setting. Developer Guilherme Rambo mentioned that his device crashed due to a Back Tap setting, and many affected users had Back Tap enabled in some way. Apple has decided to re-release the beta update once the bug is addressed.

Meanwhile, users globally have reported cellular connectivity issues after updating to the latest iOS 17.2.1 version. Although this update addressed the battery drain problem, some users on Apple's Support Community Discussions website reported difficulties connecting to their network providers after the update.

One frustrated user wrote, “After updating my iPhone last night to 17.2.1 I can no longer connect to my network provider. Tried the resets and still, it does not work! Very frustrating. Trusted Apple and iPhone for years, now not so sure.” Apple is likely to address these issues in future updates to ensure a smooth experience for iPhone users.
