Apple Adds 9 New Games to Arcade; Angry Birds Bounce Set for Next Month

Apple has expanded its cloud game platform, Apple Arcade, by incorporating nine new games into its growing library, which now contains more than 200 titles—all without ads or in-app purchases.

Other launches feature a number of high-profile and eclectic titles. WHAT THE CAR?, developed for Apple Vision Pro, introduces a spatial take on the award-winning title that was named Mobile Game of the Year at the 2024 D.I.C.E. Awards. Joining the lineup are LEGO Hill Climb Adventures, a physics-based racing game; Lost in Play, an uplifting, interactive adventure; and top 3D arcade favorite Helix Jump.

Looking forward to July, Apple is adding more exclusive content. Angry Birds Bounce will debut on Apple Arcade on July 3, with a new spin on the iconic mobile franchise that has collected over 5 billion downloads across the world.

Later this month, four entertaining games add yet another reason to dive in and play. Coming solely to Apple Arcade on July 3, Angry Birds Bounce is a fresh spin on one of the most beloved mobile game franchises of all time with more than 5 billion lifetime downloads," Apple said.

The new Angry Birds game merges the brand's classic slingshot action with brick-breaker gameplay, creating a completely new, wild, and energetic experience.

"Angry Birds Bounce reimagines the time-tested Angry Birds formula with a vertical spin, rebooting the gameplay while remaining true to the brand DNA," said Bryan Cook, the game lead at Rovio.
"We are excited to introduce this fresh experience exclusively to Apple Arcade, with the biggest lineup of Angry Birds characters ever, and can't wait to share our fans' response to this new game," he further said.

Also launching on July 3 are three of the App Store's most popular titles:

  • Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance TD, the latest installment in the highly praised tower defense franchise
  • Suika Game, a fun and delightful fruit-merging puzzle game
  • Crayola Scribble Scrubbie Pets, bringing Crayola's popular children's pet toys into a virtual realm
Apple Arcade is presently priced at ₹99 per month, with a one-month free trial for new users. Apart from that, Apple customers buying a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV will get three months of the gaming subscription for free, the company confirmed.
